ALEXIS SANCHEZ wants to stay at Arsenal, according to Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.
The Chilean striker has reportedly turned down a new contact at the Emirates, with just over a year left to run on his current deal.
However, despite speculation Sanchez could leave this summer, Wenger, speaking ahead of Monday nights game at Crystal Palace revealed Sanchez is happy to stay as they try to hammer out a new deal.
Wenger said:"Basically, he wants to stay at the club and it’s down to finding an agreement with his agent."
“The players first have to see if they are happy at the club, then they have to find an agreement.”
If an agreement cannot be found with the Gunners, Sanchez has hinted his preferred option may be Chelsea if he runs down his current deal.
