Chilean international Sanchez is out of contract in 2018 and has stalled on a new deal alongside fellow star Mesut Ozil for months - and therefore can walk away on a free when it is up.

The Gunners have offered him around £250,000-a-week to stay, but the delay is as much to do with the club’s ambitions - or lack thereof.
