Little Sam Allardyce signs for Bury after turning down host of offers from Premier League sides
The curly-haired defender could be the ex-England boss' grandson or just share the famous name
BURY have snapped up Little Sam Allardyce on a two-year deal after he walked away from a host of Premier League offers.
The curly-haired prospect was recently released by Manchester United after eight years with their prolific academy.
And he has chosen to make the short move to Gigg Lane where he fancies his chances of breaking into the first team.
Like his Crystal Palace-managing namesake, the prospect is a centre-back.
But Big Sam never worked at Bury, instead taking in the sights at northern rivals like Bolton, Preston North End, Blackpool and Blackburn.
Young Allardyce said told Buryfc: “This was one of the main attractions to this youth team.
“I love how scholars have a pathway to the first team and are able to train daily with a hope to making their debut. This is an opportunity I hope to get
“The youth team are a really close group, they all get along well and it’s great to be involved in the training.
“I want to keep playing in my position and constantly improve, hopefully I will impress early, and get constant starts for the youth team with an opportunity to train with the first team.”
SunSport contacted Bury to ask if young Sam Allardyce was the Crystal Palace boss‘ grandson but have not heard back.
