Kylian Mbappe is an Arsenal fan, suggests picture which has emerged appearing to show young Monaco star
France whizkid appears to be snapped wearing a 2004 away Gunners kit in team photo
REAL MADRID and Manchester City may find themselves competing with Arsenal for Kylian Mbappe's signature this summer.
A picture has emerged which appears to show the Monaco whizkid is a Gooner.
France defender Sebastien Corchia, who played on a team managed by Mbappe's father as a youngster, posted the snap onto his Twitter.
A young Mbappe is circled - wearing an away Arsenal shirt from the 2004 Invincibles season - as is Corchia.
Corchia, 26, and Mbappe, 18, both joined up with the French national team for March's wins over Luxembourg and Spain.
The Lille defender told : "Kylian is really impressive. Last week I trained with him for a few days with the France squad, so I’m up to date on him, and I must say, that his development is fantastic.
"He is a very intelligent player and he is surrounded by good people. That is a great plus, which can really make a big difference in a career. The surroundings, the entourage, of a football player are so important."
Mbappe has been linked with a host of European powerhouses after an incredible two seasons at Monaco.
Real are favourites to land him this summer.
But the youngster ruled out a move, saying: "At the moment I am at Monaco.
"We go along step by step. Madrid is for players at the peak of their careers, and I am not there yet.
"I have been brought up, and have people around me, to help me keep my feet on the ground.
"What I want is to play football, score goals, win games and trophies. Every player has their career."
