Arsenal chief Ivan Gazidis has admitted the last six weeks have been a ‘catalyst for change’ at the club

ARSENAL chief executive Ivan Gazidis has sensationally admitted the last six weeks at the club have been a "catalyst for change".

Gazidis revealed all in a question and answer session, where Gunners fans reiterated the need for changes at the club, regardless of whether Arsene Wenger is in charge or not.

Arsenal have offered the 67-year-old Frenchman a new deal to extend his stay at the Emirates who is prepared to "reinvent" himself in order to take the Gunners back to the summit of English football.

There is much more acknowledgement and appreciation of the growing unrest among Arsenal fans.

The Gunners, under Wenger, have won two FA Cup's in recent years, but have not come close to winning either the Premier League or Champions League since moving to the Emirates.

Disgruntled Gunners staged a march outside the Emirates before today's crunch game with Manchester City.

Up to 1,000 fans marched on the ground just before kick-off calling for the Frenchman to leave the club at the end of the season.

Fans held banners calling for Wenger to quit after 20 years in charge in North London – and called on the Arsenal board not to give him a new deal even if he wants to sign one.
