MESUT OZIL has revealed he is considering a return to Germany because his family want him closer to home.
The playmaker's future is hanging in the balance as he hold off extending his Arsenal contract which expires in the summer of 2018.
The Germany international is waiting to see if manager Arsene Wenger stays at the Emirates before deciding his next move.

But the 28-year-old could be influenced by his family who are trying to convince him of a return to the Bundesliga.
Speaking to Sportbild about a return home, he said: "I don't want to exclude that.
"Many family members - my mother especially - would welcome it if I were closer to home.
"I still have a year on my contract and I love this club. At the moment, everything is still open."
German giants Bayern Munich remains a potential destination and would be one of a handful of clubs who could match his wage demands.

But Ozil admits he is in no rush to leave the Emirates anytime soon and admits talks over extending his contract will happen 'soon'.
He told Die Welt: "I am contracted until 2018 and I feel very comfortable.
“We’ll talk soon and then make a decision.”
