Liverpool lay on private jet to race Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho back from Brazil in time for crucial Merseyside derby with Everton after news of Adam Lallana’s injury

Samba Stars face Peru in a World Cup qualifier on Wednesday at 1.45am GMT kick-off and the Toffees on Saturday lunchtime

LIVERPOOL have laid on a private jet to get Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho back from Brazil in time for their clash with Everton after the injury to Adam Lallana.

The England midfielder is ruled out for a month after picking up a thigh injury in the World Cup qualifier win over Lithuania at Wembley.

So Jurgen Klopp has got the club to lay on a jet to whisk his Samba stars back from international duty as soon as possible in a bid to battle Ronald Koeman’s Toffees.

The South American pair have a World Cup qualifier at home against Peru in the early hours of Wednesday morning, kicking off around 1.45am GMT.

And their German manager is hoping to get them back in the right condition to train on Thursday ahead of Saturday's lunchtime kick-off.

When Sadio Mane went to the African Cup of Nations the club sent a personal physio out with him for the duration and raced him home.

And they must have decided to take a similar approach to get two of their stars back from Brazil and ready for action.

Liverpool ace Coutinho missed the last Merseyside derby in December through injury so he is fired up for his return to the fixture he has scored twice in.

He said: “The rivalry is like any derby - it's intense.

“I've experienced these games both home and away and the intensity is equal with the fans.
