Thierry Henry reveals he is a huge fan of Monaco and France forward Kylian Mbappe on same day he discusses becoming Arsenal manager

THIERRY HENRY has been singing the praises of France and Monaco superstar Kylian Mbappe on the same day he admitted he fancies the Arsenal job.
The Gunners legend – currently the No2 at Belgium – claims he cannot help covet the Emirates job but he has too much respect for Arsene Wenger to push for it.
However he lauds the 18-year-old prospect that has been getting compared to him during this stunning breakthrough campaign.

Henry said: “I don't like comparing players - Mbappe has to become Mbappe and that is all.
“But my word, he is good. Ooh la la. l really like watching him play.
“I met him and he gave me the impression that he has a good head on his shoulders.”

Mbappe’s 12 Ligue 1 goals have helped Monaco to the top of the table and his speed and power has caught the attention of all of Europe’s top clubs.
But Henry would like the teenager to get more credit for his speed of thought and not just his natural physical attributes.
He said: “There is a thing that annoys me sometimes. We talk about players, 'He is quick, he is strong, he can jump high'.
"We never talk about players' brains and that annoys me.
“When I watch him dribble, he is thinking. He thinks when he plays and that for me is the most important thing in a player. He thinks. He uses his brain.
“Yes, he is quick, but he is thinking and that is the sign of a kid who can go a long way in the game.”
