England manager Gareth Southgate insists Jamie Vardy is in right frame of mind to play Germany after revealing death-threat hell
The Three Lions striker told of his family receiving abuse but Southgate is sure he will not let it affect him on the pitch
GARETH SOUTHGATE insists Jamie Vardy is in the right frame of mind after revealing his death-threat hell.
The Leicester striker says he, wife Rebekah and children have been subjected to vile personal abuse – including being physically threatened in the street and while driving her car.
But England boss Southgate is sure the situation is being dealt with and it will not affect his performance if he is picked to face Germany or Lithuania this week.

Southgate said: "I can understand why he wants to discuss it and it's obviously a very serious subject.
"We are very supportive of him, as are the club and authorities that are well aware of whats going on.
"That's the most important thing. Their are no problems with his focus on the game, as we have seen over the last few weeks."
The Three Lions face Germany in a friendly tomorrow before hosting Lithuania in a World Cup qualifier on Sunday.
Gary Cahill was captain of the team that managed to overturn a 2-0 deficit and win 3-2 in Berlin last year.
And the Chelsea defender has admitted his form in the Premier League has him believing he is playing some of the best football of his career.
"It's been a great season for me personally - I think everyone is aware what happened last season - so to turn that around is fantastic.
"I've enjoyed the new way I'm playing and the new system I've been playing in. We've adapted well as a squad."
"And I am delighted, I'm 31 and I;m still learning a lot, I feel confident and character wise I feel like I'm in a good place."
"I'm enjoying my football and I think that's when you play your best football.
"We've put ourselves in a fan position and we realise next month is massive for us. But my England hat is on now and that's what I'm thinking about."
