ARSENAL are set to join Tottenham in the race to sign Everton's Ross Barkley this summer.
According to , Arsene Wenger is planning a huge summer shake-up to end his Arsenal reign on a high.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jack Wilshere's contracts expire at the end of next season and the Gunners boss is believed to be keen to move them on.
Tottenham had been favourites to snap up Barkley but the Gunners are now aiming to once again get one over their North London rivals.
Barkley is also approaching the final year of his Everton contract, and his ability to play in centre-midfield and Mesut Ozil's number 10 role is said to be attractive to Wenger.

Ozil infuriated his manager when he joined up with the Germany squad after missing Arsenal's 3-1 loss at West Brom.
But he is still believed to be more likely than Alexis Sanchez to pen a £200,000-a-year contract extension.
Sanchez has interest from Juventus, PSG and China but it is less clear which clubs will attempt to sign Ozil.
If Arsenal do allow either Sanchez or Ozil to leave in the summer, that would free up funds to sign either Monaco's Kylian Mbappe or Lyon's Alexandre Lacazette.
The Gunners failed in bids to sign both players last summer.
There is also concern about David Ospina's suitability as backup goalkeeper and Jordan Pickford, Jack Butland and Kasper Schmeichel are being considered as replacements.
