Monaco admiration for French legend could give Bernabeu upper hand in any transfer war likely to materialise in summer
ZINEDINE ZIDANE has urged Real Madrid to sign football’s latest hot property, Kylian Mbappe, according to reports in Spain.
The 18-year-old Monaco striker is on the radar of every major club in Europe after a sensational breakthrough campaign which has yielded 17 goals.
And he further enhanced his reputation with important strikes in both legs of his side’s Champions League last-16 tie against Manchester City.

Real Madrid usually get what they want in the transfer market, but Mbappe’s admiration for France legend, Zidane, would likely give them the upper hand.
And report the Bernabeu boss is the driving force behind the pursuit.

Zidane actually tried to sign Mbappe in 2013 when boss of Real Madrid’s B team — two years securing the transfer of another young French talent in Raphael Varane, from Lens.
Speaking to in December, the Monaco hotshot explained: “I experienced that like a child who sees the greatest French player in history talk to him.
"He was touching, honest with me. It was a great moment.
“In the end, I didn't join Real Madrid because I wanted to stay in my country, I didn't want to leave so early.
“It wouldn't have worked. I chose to come to Monaco and I made the right choice."
