Chelsea revive interest in Galatasaray keeper Fernando Muslera with Asmir Begovic on way to Bournemouth

CHELSEA have revived their interest in Galatasaray keeper Fernando Muslera - with Asmir Begovic set to move to Bournemouth in the summer.

The Blues missed out on first-choice No 2 Craig Gordon after he signed a new deal at Celtic.

And now the runaway Premier League leaders have gone in again for the £15million-rated Muslera as their need for a back-up becomes more urgent, say the .

Chelsea have previously kept tabs on AC Milan's Diego Lopez, who is on loan at Espanyol, and Paris Saint-Germain's Salvatore Sirigu.

But 30-year-old Muslera has been recommended by ex-Blues goalkeeping coach Christophe Lollichon.

And he has bags of experience, with 85 caps for Uruguay and more than 340 appearances for Lazio and Galatasaray.

The Turkish side are desperate for him to stay and have offered new terms on his contract, which expires in one year.

However, used to life as a No 1, Muslera may be put off at the thought of keeping on bench warm while Courtois performs his duties.
