Barcelona and Manchester City looking to sign Joshua Kimmich but will struggle to prise him away from Bayern Munich

BARCELONA and Manchester City are interested in signing Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich this summer, according to reports in Catalonia.

The 22-year-old midfielder has been heralded as the future of German footballer after making his breakthrough under Pep Guardiola.

Kimmich gave a slight hint he would lean towards Barcelona should he leave the Bundesliga, with an Instagram post following the Catalans’ sensational comeback victory over Paris Saint-Germain.

He posted a picture of the players celebrating, along with the captions: “Nothing is impossible”, “Always believe in yourself” and “respect”.

Kimmich joined from RB Leipzig in 2015 and soon established himself as a first team regular.

This season, he has scored seven goals in all competitions — including two in a 5-0 victory over Rostov in the Champions League.
