Chelsea beg supporters to behave tonight during West Ham clash as police reveal ‘robust’ plan to stop violence

CHELSEA have urged fans to behave at tomorrow’s clash with West Ham.

October’s EFL Cup clash between the two clubs at the London Stadium erupted in violence — and the Met Police say they have a “robust” plan to make sure it does not happen again.

Now Chelsea have issued a statement warning supporters not to cause trouble and telling them to expect increased segregation both during and after the high-tension game in East London.

Their statement read: “Once again we understand passion will be high at this prominent London derby and, as Antonio Conte has made clear, our fans’ vocal backing will be very important for our title challenge.

“But we ask everyone attending to remain respectful and refrain from any violent, threatening, offensive or discriminatory behaviour.

“There has been an increase in the segregation provisions since the EFL Cup game.”

Police chiefs have consulted with both clubs and the stadium operators, with a Met Police spokesperson confirming: “The Metropolitan Police Service has an appropriate, proportionate and robust policing plan in place.”
