Fans have long campaigned for their right to buy a glass of red, along with beer and lager which has traditionally been sold on the Old Trafford concourses.
A 187.5ml Cabernet Sauvignon, made by club sponsors Casillero del Diablo, will cost £4.80. In a plastic glass, of course.
If you think that’s expensive, spare a thought for Fergie’s bank balance which was swelled by £2.3million when he auctioned off a wine collection that went hand in hand with his 27-year reign as United manager.
The top lot, a methuselah of Domaine de la Romanee-Conti Vintage 1997, fetched £94,815.
Apparently, Louis van Gaal dropped Sir Alex’s tradition of a post-match chat over a bottle of wine. It has since been reinstated by Jose Mourinho.
United are on a 16th game unbeaten run, including last Sunday’s EFL Cup triumph over Southampton.
