Brazilian midfielder earns his £400,000-a-week wages by helping Shanghai SIPG keeper to save penalty

FORMER Chelsea star Oscar is certainly earning his mega wages in China – by predicting the future.

The Brazilian left Stamford Bridge for Shanghai SIPG last month after landing himself a stunning £400,000-a-week deal with the Super League side.

Many criticised the midfielder for cashing in by departing to the Far East at just 25-years-old and with his prime years still ahead of him.

But, despite the poor standard of the league, he was still able to showcase his talents during his new side’s Asian Champions League win against Seoul.

Hulk had already given Shanghai the lead when Seoul were handed the perfect opportunity to level as they were awarded a penalty.

Dejan Damjanovic was the man tasked with notching from the spot, but he did not factor in Oscar’s future predicting talents.

And Yan Junling not only listened to his team-mate, he followed his instructions and proceeded to save the resulting spot-kick.

Maybe it’s these talents, and not just his foot work abilities, that persuaded Shanghai to splash out £52million for his services.
