Manchester United transfer news: Jose Mourinho calls Neymar to tempt him to join Manchester United
United boss reportedly regularly contacts the Brazilian as he looks to find a long-term replacement for Wayne Rooney
JOSE Mourinho has worked with some of the biggest names in world football.
But the Manchester United boss is trying to entice arguably one of the best - Barcelona star Neymar - to Old Trafford.
Spanish newspaper is reporting that the United boss has been CALLING the Brazilian for weeks, trying to persuade him to come to Old Trafford.
SPORT reports that Mourinho has been trying to convince Neymar that a move to England could benefit and develop his career.
The Brazilian has been linked with moves to the Premier League in the past to United and noisy neighbours Manchester City.
The forward has struggled in front of goal, scoring just six times in 19 La Liga games for Barcelona.
And after Sun Football reported that Neymar is to stand trial over alleged corruption and fraud charges in Spain, a move to England could appeal.
