Florentino Perez reportedly prepared to overrule Zinedine Zidane to land his top target
JOSE MOURINHO’s resolve to keep hold of David de Gea is about to be tested as Real Madrid are reportedly set offer Manchester United Raphael Varane in return.
The Red Devils boss is a huge fan of the French defender and could be tempted to give up his goalkeeper in order to land the star.
Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has no intention of losing the 23-year-old, however, he could be overruled by club president Florentino Perez.
The supremo is determined to lure United keeper De Gea to the Bernabeu, and according to Spanish news outlet , a swap deal involving Varane is seen as the ideal solution.
The central defender arrived from Lens in 2011 and was handed a first-team opportunity by Mourinho during his time in charge at Madrid.

Perez knows that Old Trafford chiefs will not settle for stopper Keylor Navas in return for De Gea, despite that a deal almost being completed in the summer of 2015.

Chelsea No1 Thibaut Courtois is also wanted by Madrid, but De Gea remains the top target.
