Manchester United fan Rachel Riley cheers on Red Devils with a very sneaky TV set-up in the Countdown studio
Brainbox beauty proves she won't be deterred from watching her team's early Europa League kick-off against St Etienne
SHE is one of Britain's brainiest TV personalities.
But Rachel Riley’s commitment to her job on Countdown means she doesn’t always get the chance to catch her beloved Manchester United in action.
However, the 8 Out Of 10 Cats star has found a novel way of beating the system for today’s early Europa League clash against St Etienne.
For Riley has managed to fit an out-of-sight television behind the famous Countdown board, allowing her to cast some sly gazes while the next episode of the popular quiz show is being recorded.
Riley has made no secret of her support for the Red Devils and clearly doesn’t mind if her employer knows about the cheeky set-up.
Riley's become a popular figure amongst football fans and she was handed the keys to the ‘Friday Night Football’ show alongside Jeff Stelling when it kicked off last August.
The pair later paid tribute to United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic by creating a stunning mosaic of his face using 1,200 replica shirts but the lack of Friday night matches means they've only appeared on air together a handful of times this season.
United are currently hoping to book their place in the next stage of the Europa League after winning the first leg 3-0 at Old Trafford.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan gave them an early lead in France but fans will be worried after he was forced to come off the pitch injured.
