Partizan Belgrade manager demands Everton Luiz be punished for reacting to racist chants that made him leave pitch in tears
EVERTON LUIZ must be punished for reacting to racist chants by leaving the pitch in tears, according to his own manager.
Partizan Belgrade boss Marko Nikolic insists Luiz made an obscene gesture to fans who abused him because of the colour of his skin.
And Nikolic - who lost his job at Slovenia side Olimpija Ljubljana for calling one of his own players a "black idiot" - says Luiz must be penalised for his actions.
Nikolic said: "Everton should not have reacted, but something made him react, did it not?
"Both sides of the incident are to be punished.
"But these things are happening in football, and now the authorities have to sanction those involved.
"It's a return to the reality of Serbian football."
Nikolic lost his job at the then Slovenia league leaders after he criticised Nigerian striker Blessing Eleke for taking too much time celebrating a goal.
He was banned for seven games by the Slovenian FA for "clear racism" and was dismissed by Milan Mandaric, the club's chairman.
Shocking pictures showed Luiz leaving the pitch in tears after he said he suffered 90 minutes of abuse, including fans making monkey noises.
Before the end of the game, Rad fans unveiled a vile banner insulting Luiz and causing the match to be halted.

Luiz said: "I’ve been suffering racist abuse during the entire 90 minutes and also was upset by the home players, who supported that. They were all attacking me.
"I want to forget this as soon as possible. I love Serbia and the people here, that is why I cried.
"But please say NO to racism!"
Yesterday it emerged that the vice-president of Rad accused Luiz of "fake tears" in an astonishing Facebook post.
Jelena Polic wrote: "The whole story about this "big" Everton player and the stuff that happened on the game between Rad and Partizan is biased and sad.
"Why don't you go back to Brazil and show your dark fingers to them and swear on Brazilians' mothers and everything will be OK."
