Sutton manager Paul Doswell blasts Arsenal’s ‘bizarre James Bond’ security after FA Cup clash against Arsene Wenger’s men
Heroes Sutton gave everything but went down to goals from Lucas Perez and Theo Walcott at the Gander Green Lane
PAUL DOWSELL was left proud as punch by his non-league heroes.
But the Sutton boss was surprised by The Gunners' strong-arm security measures, which he said were like a James Bond movie.
The two sides are separated by 105 places in the football pyramid but you would never have guessed that at times, as Arsenal avoided a massive banana skin thanks to goals from Lucas Perez and Theo Walcott.
Arsenal arrived at Sutton's Gander Green Lane with BODYGUARDS, while Arsene Wenger was nearly hit by a plastic bottle near full-time.
And he blasted the fans who ran on the pitch at full time, preventing his players from doing a lap of honour.
He added: "It is a different world. My lot have to go to work tomorrow.
"Arsenal arrived here with bodyguards, and they took over the tunnel and we did not even get the chance to say thank you to our supporters in the end.
"It was bizarre seeing James Bond security but that's the world we live in.
"You saw some idiots here shouting and screaming at Arsene Wenger, and you have to be protected.
"It was a shame my players could not do a lap of honour because of the idiots who came on the pitch.
"Those were not real Sutton fans. It was disappointing at the end when they ran on.
"The way I feel now can be summed up in five letters; proud.
"I am very proud of them. We asked them to give us everything they had and they did exactly that."
