Upon returning to training last week, it was causing the 25-year-old right-back problems, with medics finding that he needs another operation.
He was straight back in hospital on Friday where he underwent more diagnostics and surgery which will see him out for between six to eight months.
But his squad and friends, including the likes of Francesco Totti, Daniele de Rossi, Edin Dzeko, Radja Nainggolan and manager Luciano Spalletti visited him in his Rome hospital bed today.
Wearing smart suits, over 20 players crowded around Florenzi's bed where he sat smiling with his leg heavily strapped up.
