Manchester United join Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool in race for £85million Torino striker Andrea Belotti

MANCHESTER UNITED have joined the race for £85million Andrea Belotti.

Reports in Italy claim the Red Devils are the latest European giant to be keeping taps in the Torino striker.

Belotti, 23, has helped himself to 30 goals in 59 games since joining Torino from Palermo in 2015.

'The Rooster' signed a new four-year deal in December and the Serie A side will demand his £85m release clause is paid in full before any move can materialise.

But that should prove no hurdle to United boss Jose Mourinho – who is likely to have cash to burn this summer.

Anthony Martial has been strongly linked with a move away from Old Trafford after failing to impress the Portuguese chief.

While doubts remain over the futures of Marcus Rashford and Wayne Rooney, who could be set for a lucrative move to China.

United have been strongly linked with a world record move for Atletico Madrid superstar Antoine Griezmann next summer.

But Mourinho is understood to see Belotti as the ideal back-up plan should a move not materialise.
