It read: “In reply to recent comments in the media, Inter finds it hard to understand why Juventus keeps talking about us when our focus has never been on them.
“The fact there is always such a lot of attention on Inter is confirmation of the importance of our club.

Inter played their reserves for the rematch and lost 9-1, with Omar Sivori netting six en route to the Ballon d’Or.
And, in 1997-98, the pair were neck and neck in the race for the Scudetto.

The visitors were refused a stonewall penalty when Ronaldo was fouled, only for the Bianconeri to be awarded a soft spot-kick moments later, and eventually win the match — and the title.
Such controversy surrounded the decision, that it was even debated in parliament.
While Inter were awarded the 2005-06 Scudetto after Juventus were relegated, having been found guilty of match-fixing.
And, in a 2008-09 clash, the Inter bus was pelted with eggs, while there were seven bookings and a red card as Jose Mourinho was sent to the stands.
