FORMER Real Madrid and Everton star Royston Drenthe could move from club to NIGHTCLUB after releasing a rap song.

The Dutchman will be hoping to revitalise his career - in music, not football - with his new hit Paranoia.

A teaser video was released promising there is a lot more to come from 'Roya2faces'.

The song - sung entirely in Dutch - has racked up the views.

It is not the first song Drenthe has released, having recorded 'Tak Takie' with his pal U-Niq, a rapper from Rotterdam.

Drenthe wrote on his Instagram account: "Next Wednesday is the day!

"Be ready because at 12pm I drop my first single called Paranoia.

Drenthe, 29, retired in February after struggling to find a new club following a season at UAE side Baniyas Club.

Surprisingly, the Feyenoord youth is not the first player to switch to a career in music this week.

Former Liverpool star Djibril Cisse announced his retirement on Tuesday in order to focus on his DJ career.

Drenthe also played for Reading and Sheffield Wednesday during his 11-year career, as well as clubs in Russia, Turkey and Holland.
