Gabriel Jesus admits even he is shocked by how well he as started to Manchester City

GABRIEL JESUS admits even he has been surprised at the impact he has made at the start of his Manchester City career.

Jesus has been a revelation since arriving at the Etihad Stadium at the start of January, breathing new life into City's faltering season.

The Brazilian has scored three goals in three Premier League appearances and looks to have edged out Sergio Aguero to become the number one striker at the club.

And the 19-year-old admits he is still coming to terms with life in England following his £27million move from Palmeiros.

Jesus said: “Yes, I am very surprised. Although I work a lot every single day, with everyone’s support, in order for that to happen.

“I am very happy. Each day I feel that I am adjusting really well, with the support of everyone in the club.

“The players, they help me every day and that makes me happy, even more because I am able to make a good start in a City shirt.

Jesus only made his City debut as substitute on October 21 in the 2-2 Premier League draw against Tottenham.

He made his first start in the FA Cup win at Crystal Palace and kept his starting place ahead of Aguero for the next two matches - scoring in  the wins over West Ham and Swansea.
