A summer move for Kalinic was potentially on the cards, with Slaven Bilic wanting to inject some firepower into his squad.

The Hammers boss is relying on injury-prone hitman Andy Carroll, who has scored six times this season, to lead the line.

Bilic turned down the chance to sign Scott Hogan from Brentford in order to save up for a better option in the summer.

Hogan, who scored 14 goals for the Bees this term, has since joined Aston Villa.
