Marcelo wishes Neymar happy birthday before Cristiano Ronaldo and hits back at fans who accuse him of favouritism

Brazilian full-back lashed out at supporters on Instagram after he was accused of snubbing his Real Madrid team-mate

MARCELO has lashed out in fury at online trolls accusing him of favouring Neymar over Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Brazil full-back wished his compatriot and Barcelona rival happy birthday on Instagram – minutes BEFORE he did the same to Ronaldo.

Fans called Marcelo “rude” and demanded to know why he had not sent his wishes to his club team-mate first.

Ronaldo, who turned 32 on Sunday, had been on the receiving end of Los Blancos’ boo boys last week during their 3-0 win over Real Sociedad.

But the former Manchester United star responded by turning to the crowd and calling them “sons of b***es”.

Ronaldo was calmed down at full-time though, with reporting Real president Florentino Perez met with him to reassure him of the club’s backing.

The forward recognises he receives the flak when things go wrong, but does not understand why.
