Marcelo wishes Neymar happy birthday before Cristiano Ronaldo and hits back at fans who accuse him of favouritism
Brazilian full-back lashed out at supporters on Instagram after he was accused of snubbing his Real Madrid team-mate
MARCELO has lashed out in fury at online trolls accusing him of favouring Neymar over Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Brazil full-back wished his compatriot and Barcelona rival happy birthday on Instagram – minutes BEFORE he did the same to Ronaldo.
Fans called Marcelo “rude” and demanded to know why he had not sent his wishes to his club team-mate first.

Marcelo responded: “Shut the f*** up idiots.”
Brazilian duo Marcelo and Neymar, now 25, get on famously having played together on the national team for the last six years.
The defender also has a good relationship with Ronaldo, who he has supported on Real’s left flank since 2009.
Ronaldo, who turned 32 on Sunday, had been on the receiving end of Los Blancos’ boo boys last week during their 3-0 win over Real Sociedad.
Frustrated fans took their anger out on the Portuguese superstar in the 23rd minute when he lost the ball.
Ronaldo was calmed down at full-time though, with reporting Real president Florentino Perez met with him to reassure him of the club’s backing.
The forward recognises he receives the flak when things go wrong, but does not understand why.
