REAL MADRID are ready to sell Karim Benzema for £50million, leaving long-standing potential suitors Arsenal on red alert.

The Gunners have been linked with a move for the hitman for numerous years with Arsene Wenger a huge admirer of the French frontman.

And it looks like this summer could finally be the one that the 29-year-old ends his time at the Bernabeu after a tough couple of months.

Benzema has not scored for five matches as he has struggled for form, leading to fans turning against him.

He has been subjected to whistling from the home support during recent weeks, leading to claims that the striker could be considering a new challenge away from the Spain.

And the Premier League may well just be the stage the ex-Lyon star is looking for.

Chelsea, who defeated Arsenal 3-1 on Saturday, are also believed to be interested in Benzema.

They could well be on the hunt for a new attacker after the recent issues with Diego Costa, who may still leave the capital for the riches of the Chinese Super League.
