A CRYSTAL PALACE fan has allegedly "punched a steward" in an ugly full-time melee at Selhurst Park after they lost 4-0 to Sunderland.
Sam Allardyce's side lost embarrassingly to their relegation rivals - and his former club - with reports of angry supporters trying to get to the players and the boss as they went down the tunnel.
TalkSport producer James Dodd tweeted: "Shocking scenes at Selhurst Park. Stewards holding back 'supporters' by the tunnel and few of the stewards have been punched. Disgrace."
At half-time in the match, with the score already at 4-0, a Palace fan had to be restrained after he tried to attack Eagles defender Damien Delaney.
