The midfielder's contract was up in the summer and he was keen for a move to get regular action.

According to , the three-and-a-half-year contract was only penned once Raiola agreed to taking a staggering slice from the deal, having been upset that the two clubs reached an agreement behind his back.

Raiola reportedly made over £250,000 from a deal worth just £1.3million.

Empoli director Marcello Carli said: "It was a long and tough negotiation. We are very happy that the player came to us.

"El Kaddouri he was in the African Cup and when we talk with people it was not difficult, then we talked and we realized that in Empoli can relaunch.

"With Napoli's an important relationship, we are happy. Raiola? He always wins."

The deal was small fry for Raiola, however, having banked over £20m from Paul Pogba's world-record move to Manchester United over the summer.

And he would have received even more cash than that from United after arranging for clients Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to make their way to Old Trafford.
