Barnsley boss Paul Heckington snubs Nottingham Forest and says he has no interest in the job
Tykes chief claims that the 'uncertainty' around City Ground means he is not interested in replacing Philippe Montanier
PAUL HECKINGBOTTOM insists he has no interest in becoming Nottingham Forest's new manager.
The Barnsley boss has been linked with the vacant job at the City Ground following the dismissal of Philippe Montanier.
The Tykes are currently 11 points ahead of the Tricky Trees in the Championship table.
And that has led to their leader to dismissing claims he would move to Forest, and asking: “What would be the point?”
Heckingbottom said: "What a club it is, great football club, but they're in lots and lots of uncertainty at the minute aren't they?
"And I'm sure there has been a lot of people linked with it and they've said the same thing. 'What would be the point in going there as it is?'
"My feelings are exactly the same."
A US consortium were unsuccessful in their attempt to takeover Forest earlier this month after trying to buy the club from Fawaz Al-Hasawi.
