The £32million man reportedly lost his temper with a member of British Airways' check-in staff just a day after his red card in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Burnley.

The row is claimed to have kicked off as Xhaka said goodbye to footballer pal Leonard Lekaj at Heathrow’s Terminal 5.

But after the player and manager held clear the air talks, Wenger said for the first time since the incident: "He denies the incident completely at Heathrow. I have talked to him.

"I have spoken to him about it and he denies it completely."

The club have so far declined to comment, saying it was a private and a police matter.

According to Metropolitan Police, Xhaka voluntarily headed to the police station where he was interviewed under caution.
