CELTIC midfielder Ryan Christie has shut down his Twitter account after an unsavoury tweet about Aberdeen surfaced online.
The former Inverness star joined
But a tweet, which is claimed to be from his account in 2012 during his time at Caley Thistle, has emerged on social media.
The message, which has since gone viral, is from when and clashed in the 2012 Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden.
The Hibees won the game thanks to a late winner from Leigh Griffiths, after Garry O'Connor had put the Easter Road side ahead before Rory Fallon levelled for the Dons.
It said: "C'mon Hibs! I f***ing hate Aberdeen #sheepsh***ingc****"
The new Pittodrie signing has since closed down his Twitter account.
A new account has since been set up claiming to be Christie.
However, it's not known if it's genuine or a parody account.
But an apology for the previous tweet has been sent out from it.
The Scotland Under-21 star has made the switch to Pittodrie in a bid to get first-team football.
Brendan Rodgers still sees him as part of his long-term plans but hopes more experience will help his development.
