BORUSSIA DORTMUND have beaten Real Madrid in the race to sign the 'next Zlatan Ibrahimovic' Alexander Isak from AIK.

The 17-year-old forward has sealed an £8.8million move to the Bundesliga giants, despite interest from Real, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.

The former AIK hitman already has two international caps to his name and bagged his first goal against Slovakia this month to become Sweden’s youngest every goalscorer.

Early on Monday morning, Dortmund announced the signing of their new No14 on Twitter.

The club wrote: "Borussia Dortmund sign striker Alexander Isak #welcomeisak #bvb."

The move is now the most expensive sale in the history of Swedish football - more than the fee Ajax spent to bring Zlatan to Holland from Malmo back in 2001, at £7.5m.

And with good reason too, as Isak had netted a superb ten goals in just 18 starts for the Swedish club before his move to Germany.

Also in his fledgling career, Isak has played a host of youth international games.

The youngster netted six goals in 19 games for the Sweden Under-17s, before one in three for the Under-19s.

Isak made just one start for the Under-21s before being called up to the big time, where has already played twice for the senior squad under Janne Andersson.
