Jack Wilshere angers Arsenal fans by hailing Wayne Rooney as best he’s played with

JACK WILSHERE insists Wayne Rooney is the best footballer he’s ever played with.

And the Bournemouth-loanee’s tweet in appreciation of the Manchester United star’s record breaking 250 goals has met with plenty of stick from Arsenal fans.

Wilshere further annoyed supporters at his parent club by posting ‘proper captain and by far the best I have played with’.

His tweet was in response to Rooney breaking Sir Bobby Charlton’s all-time Manchester United scoring record with his late equaliser at Stoke.

But Arsenal stalwarts reckoned Wilshere should have looked closer to home before praising Rooney to the high heavens.

For the England midfielder was quickly reminded about the merits of Mesut Ozil, for instance.

And elsewhere Wilshere was advised to delete his tweet ‘before anyone sees’ and told to ‘stay at Bournemouth’.

But Wilshere obviously feels Rooney’s achievement is superb, the pair having regularly turned out together for England.
