West Ham to settle for £25m for wantaway star Dimitri Payet from Marseille as they look to cut their losses
Hammers ready to wash their hands on striking attacker if French club meet them half-way with improved offer
WEST HAM have told Marseille they are willing to sell Dimitri Payet if they come up with a bid of £25million.
The Hammers have rejected two offers for the controversial Frenchman after Payet went on strike last week and demanded a return to his former club.
They had been hoping to hold out for £30million and were prepared to make their star player an outcast unless he apologised.

But they are now so tired of the whole saga they are willing to lower their asking price as long as Marseille meet them halfway.
West Ham have reluctantly accepted Payet's claim that he wants to move back home for family reasons and not money.
But with that in mind, the club would only be willing to sanction a move to Marseille at the reduced price and would not entertain doing business with any other club.
If he attempted to engineer a move to any other side in the Premier League, the Hammers would then block any transfer.
Payet spent Tuesday training alone and was then made to train with the under-23 squad today as manager Slaven Bilic consigns him to history.
He is now waiting for Marseille to increase their offer, having failed with an initial bid of £19million last week and an improved offer of £20million over the weekend.
