ROBBIE KEANE could be about to return to English football.
Preston North End among the clubs to have registered an interest in the former Tottenham Hotspur striker.
The 36-year-old left the Los Angeles Galaxy in November after five years playing in Major League Soccer.

Speaking to PA when he left the MLS, Keane said: "I still feel sharp - I look after myself very well - and I've certainly got a lot of goals left in me.

"I still feel as hungry as ever."
Keane is the Republic of Ireland's top scorer of all time with 68 goals in 146 matches.
The ex-Wolves, Inter Milan and Leeds star has arguably been British football’s most successful import to Major League Soccer.
And Keane told supporters directly when he called it a day in the US: "Thank you for welcoming me as one of your own and for helping to make LA such a special place for both me and my family.
"The city has become my second home and I will never forget the unbelievable backing you've given me during my time at the Galaxy. The great times we have shared will stay with me forever.
"I look forward to watching the club continue to grow and progress in the coming years. It's been an honour to captain your team and I am so proud of everything we have achieved together."
