Manchester United transfer news: Chinese Super League side Shandong Luneng have offered Ashley Young stunning £10m a year deal to join
The United winger frozen out by Jose Mourinho this season and has been offered a huge deal to move to the Far East and join Chinese Super League gravy train
MANCHESTER UNITED'S Ashley Young has been offered a stunning £10million a year deal to join Chinese Super League side Shandong Luneng, SunSport understands.
The 31-year-old winger has featured in just ten games this season and only started twice in the Premier League for United, suggesting an uncertain future at the club.
So far United have rejected all enquires for Young.
West Brom, Crystal Palace, Burnley and his former side Watford have all enquired about his situation.
That could all change as moneybags Shandong Luneng are set to table a serious offer for the experienced winger and a lucrative deal to see out the rest of his career in the Far East.
Shandong Luneng, managed by former Fulham boss Felix Magath, will be backed by the owners in the transfer window to turn the club's fortunes around after finishing a disappointing 14th in the Super League last term.
Taishan Dui already have former Premier League strikers Graziano Pelle and Papiss Cisse in their ranks and are on the hunt for a wide man to provide the service badly lacking last season.
Young moved to United from Aston Villa in 2011 for £17million and is contracted at Old Trafford until 2018 with an option of a further year.
He has gone on to make 150 appearances for United, scoring 14 goals, and played a major role in the club winning the title in Sir Alex Ferguson's final year in charge.
This season Young has seen his opportunities to impress Mourinho limited, the Portuguese boss has gone for Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Henrikh Mkhitaryan ahead of him in wide positions, and the winger has had to settle for a handful of starts at full-back.
