The hulking 17-year-old took part in a FA Cup Youth tie against Stoke City as Forest lost the tie 4-1 at the bet 365 stadium as the young English forward worked hard to impress his suitors.
Forest's under-18 coach Gareth Holmes told the Nottingham Post: "Ben is tremendous. Look at his performance. He never wavered in his application.
"He's ticking a lot of boxes. This defeat will disappoint him, but he'll play in bigger games than this."
Liverpool and Manchester lead the race for this hugely talented striker and rumours from Mersyside suggest Jurgen Klopp has taken the time out of his preparation from Liverpool's massive clash with Manchester United to call Brereton in an attempt to lure him to Anfield.
Meanwhile Manchester United while not going as far as to make personal contact with the player are ready and willing to make a bid for the Englishman as he will be an extremely bright spark for the future of any team he joins.
This Sunday Liverpool take on Manchester United at Old Trafford in a massive game that could take Liverpool within touching distance of league leaders Chelsea or give Manchester their 10th win on the bounce in all competitions.
Both clubs will be viewing this match as a must win especially for the Manchester Club that could see their distance to the top 4 extended if they were to lose.
