Didier Drogba: Chelsea legend may end career at Corinthians despite being wanted by Marseille
Ivorian veteran could follow in footsteps of Brazilian icon Ronaldo by playing out days with world-famous club
CHELSEA legend Didier Drogba has reportedly been offered the chance to end his career with Brazilian giants Corinthians.
The Ivorian striker is without a club after leaving MLS outfit Montreal Impact in December.
But despite being 38-years-old, Drogba is keen to continue playing before calling it a day.
Former club Marseille are interested in a reunion and Drogba has refused to rule out a return.
But claims he is now considering a move to South America after Corinthians stepped in with a tempting deal.
Iconic forward Ronaldo enjoyed a fine spell there before calling it a day, scoring 35 times in 69 games.
And Corinthians feel Drogba can make a similar impact as well as bring in lucrative marketing deals.
However, Marseille remain favourites for his signature, with Drogba admitting: “It can be done, just take the trouble and time to sit down and talk.
“But I’m not shouting from the rooftops that it will happen.”
