A London Stadium source revealed: “Adrian can leave if the right offer comes in for him. A new top line keeper is very much on the agenda.

“The clause is there in case any minds are changed on signing him up for another two years, but it looks like he will leave.

“There's no question of standing in his way if the right offer comes along, we are looking at options to replace him.”

West Ham are willing to pay the £15million fee to Manchester City to snap up Hart, who is on loan at Italian side Torino until the end of this campaign.

London Stadium chiefs have also given the go-ahead to pay his £100,000-a-week wages to land a marquee signing.

Hart has been scouted by the Hammers since Pep Guardiola decided to axe him in the summer and buy Claudio Bravo from Barcelona.

Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic and Liverpool's Simon Mignolet are also on the list of possible transfer targets, should they not get Hart.

Adrian has fallen out of favour with Hammers boss Slaven Bilic this season after a string of poor performances.

He will be allowed to leave the club for around £5million after joining them on a free transfer from Betis in 2013.

The Spanish stopper has made 101 appearances for West Ham, but has been dropped for Republic of Ireland ace Darren Randolph.
