FIFPro World XI: Paul Pogba and Jamie Vardy both miss out on honour as no Premier League players make Real Madrid and Barcelona-dominated team
Only one player to make the team had no affiliation to either Real or Barca as English football's 'decline' continues

THE superstars of FIfa's Team of the Year posed for a selfie with host Eva Longoria.. as all Premier Leauge stars all missed out on being selected.
A total 26,516 players worldwide voted for the FIFA-FIFPro World 11 – with 1884 professionals from England voting.

The FIFPro World XI is dominated by Barcelona and Real Madrid
Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba both missed out on the FIFPro XIThe world’s most expensive player, Paul Pogba, who was part of the team in 2015, was one of those who failed to make the 2016 dream team.

Leicester’s Jamie Vardy was the only Englishman to make the 55-player shortlist and he came 13th among the forwards.
In total 15 Premier League players made the shortlist.

They were Claudio Bravo, David De Gea, Hector Bellerin, David Luiz, Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard, N’Golo Kante, Mesut Ozil, Dimitri Payet, Pogba, David Silva, Sergio Aguero, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Alexis Sanchez and Vardy.
Gareth Bale was the only other British player included on the 55-man shortlist. He finished seventh among forwards.
Former Liverpool star Luis Suarez was the only new player in the team.

Wayne Rooney missed the cut for the 55-player shortlist for the first time in the award’s 12-year history.
The team was massively dominated by La Liga giants, with only ONE player in the XI having no affiliation with either Barcelona or Real Madrid.
