BOURNEMOUTH are moving quickly to replace Nathan Ake, who was recalled by Chelsea today.
According to the , Eddie Howe is looking to Liverpool defenders Mamadou Sakho and Joe Gomez to minimise disruption in the Cherries backline.
Howe is expected to move quickly for one of the Anfield outcasts with Simon Francis still having to serve two games of a three-match ban for a tackle on Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey.
Sakho would come with more Premier League experience but a loan for Gomez would be the easier of the two deals for the Cherries boss to pull off.
Bournemouth are unwilling to pay the Sakho's £80,000-a-week wages in full and Jurgen Klopp is believed to only be interested in permanent bids for the France international.
Sevilla and Galatasaray are also chasing the 26-year-old who is valued at £20m by Liverpool.
Gomez was signed from Charlton by Brendan Rodgers in summer 2015 but has missed the last 15 months of football after rupturing his cruciate knee ligaments.
But the player did impress before the injury and Rodgers is believed to be interested in bringing him on loan to Celtic.
He returned to action today during Liverpool's 0-0 FA Cup Third Round draw with Plymouth at Anfield.
