Robbie Keane entertains guests with a few tunes at his sister Natasha’s private wedding in Spain
The 36-year-old former Spurs and Ireland star belted out Garth Brooks' The Dance and Green Fields of France at the Lanzarote bash
FOOTIE legend Robbie Keane serenaded his sister who got married this week.
Robbie, 36, took to the mic to entertain guests at Natasha’s private wedding to Alan in Hotel Puerto Calero, Lanzarote.
One guest told the Irish Sun: “Robbie got up and sang The Dance by Garth Brooks to his sister and was in great form.”
But the singing didn’t stop there with the former Ireland captain — who is a cousin of pop star Morrissey — going on to perform the Green Fields of France.
Another guest said: “Robbie did the Green Fields of France all right — but never mentioned handball cheat Thierry Henry once.”
Although the former LA Galaxy star retired from international football last year, guests remarked how “fit and young” he looked at the wedding.
The father-of-two had posted a pic on Instagram of himself and his son Robert Jnr in suits.
Robbie wrote: “The boys ready for my sister’s wedding.”
And the music was provided by former Revs frontman Rory Gallagher, who owns two bars on the island, with Robbie joining in.
Keane is currently looking for a new club having left LA Galaxy.
“I can confirm that after five fantastic years I will be leaving the LA Galaxy,” Keane told LA Galaxy’s official website last November.
“It’s been a privilege to have played my part in the history of such a great club and I leave with memories that will stay with me forever.
“Winning three MLS Cups, scoring over 100 goals for the club and being named as 2014 MVP are all achievements that I will look back on with pride.
“It’s been an incredible experience. I’ve truly loved every minute of my time at LA Galaxy.”
Keane insists he has no plans to retire, and the former Leeds, Liverpool and Inter Milan forward will instead seek one last challenge in club football.
“I believe that now is the right time for a new challenge as I look towards the next chapter of my playing career,” he added.
“I still feel as fit and sharp as ever and I am looking forward to my next adventure.
“Having now retired from international football I am ready to focus everything I have on one last major challenge in club football and will be taking time out to consider my options before announcing my next move.
“I would like to thank everyone at the Galaxy including the board, manager and all of my team-mates for their incredible support during my time in LA.
“Finally, I would like to thank the most important people at the club: the fans. Thank you for welcoming me as one of your own and for helping to make LA such a special place for both me and my family.
“The city has become my second home and I will never forget the unbelievable backing you’ve given me during my time at the Galaxy. The great times we have shared will stay with me forever.
“I look forward to watching the club continue to grow and progress in the coming years.
“It’s been an honour to captain your team and I am so proud of everything we have achieved together. Thank you for everything.”
