Manchester United hero Patrice Evra a target for struggling West Ham as five-time Premier League winner eyes England return
Defender has started just three league games for Juve so far this season, down from the 24 he began in the last title-winning campaign
MANCHESTER UNITED hero Patrice Evra is in talks to join West Ham despite having his heart set on a return to Old Trafford.
The French left-back wants to finish his career back in the Premier League with Jose Mourinho’s men but they already have Luke Shaw, Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian competing for the spot.
Rio Ferdinand has been campaigning for his 35-year-old former team-mate to get a second chance at United but Mourinho is not expected to make any first-team additions in this current transfer window.

Reports in France, however, claim West Ham are going to offer the Juventus man a return to England.
Brazilian Alex Sandro has taken Evra’s spot and he’s too proud to sit on the bench in Serie A and collect his wages.
Aaron Cresswell is one of the classiest full-backs in the division but a squad as thin as Slaven Bilic’s could always do with the winning mentality and commitment Evra has shown throughout his career.
The veteran could also link-up well with fellow Frenchmen Arthur Masuaku and midfielder Dimitri Payet whose attitude and dedication this season has been questioned by Bilic.
For eight-and-a-half season Evra was a first-team fixture at United with five Premier League titles to show for his troubles.
But he has started just three league games for Juve so far this season, down from the 24 he began in the last title-winning campaign.
