Dimitri Payet hauled in for showdown talks by Slaven Bilic to question his commitment to West Ham
Hammers boss unhappy at French star's attitude as club fight to stay clear of relegation trouble
DIMITRI PAYET has been hauled in for a clear-the-air meeting with Slaven Bilic to find out whether he was still committed to the club.
Hammers boss Bilic has become increasingly concerned at the attitude the £110,000-a-week star has shown this season.
Payet has looked off the pace in matches as the club battled to haul themselves clear of the relegation zone in the Premier League.

And his effort on the training ground has also been a concern to Bilic, who has seen his position come under threat because of West Ham's struggles this season.
Until now Bilic had been prepared to cut Payet some slack in an effort to encourage his star player to repeat the brilliant form he showed during his first season with the club.
But after a series of poor displays over December, Bilic decided enough was enough - and hauled the midfielder in to order him to change his attitude and up his effort.
Payet was left in no doubt he needs to start working hard both in training and in matches to justify his position as the highest-paid player at the club.
West Ham have become frustrated that the 29-year-old is continually being linked with big-money moves elsewhere and still want to build their side around him.
But they are also concerned the transfer talk, and the club's poor form this season, has led Payet to start thinking of leaving.
Former club Marseille have shown an interest in re-signing the player they sold to West Ham for £10.7million in June 2015.
With a new billionaire owner, Marseille are understood to be willing to offer £30m to take Payet back to the south of France.
Bilic wants the player fully-focused and committed to West Ham, so confronted the wide man to find out just where he stood.
SunSport understands Payet insisted he is happy at the Olympic Stadium, but a sign of how far his star has fallen came on Monday when he was taken off with West Ham trailing by just one goal in their 2-0 defeat to Manchester United.
