Former Barcelona star Sanchez has turned down a new deal at the Emirates Stadium and wants more money to commit his future to Arsene Wenger’s men.

Arsenal have offered him a deal in the region of £180,000-a-week.

The 28-year-old, along with team-mate Mesut Ozil, is not happy with that offer and wants closer to £250k per week.

He is also believed to be growing frustrated with the club’s inability to compete for top honours.

Sanchez threw a temper tantrum following Arsenal’s comeback from three-down to earn a draw at Bournemouth on Tuesday.

As well as being visibly annoyed at full time at dropping two points in the title race, it is believed he continued his sulking inside the dressing-room.

Boss Wenger backed Sanchez despite his public show, saying:  “What is surprising? We want to win the games, if you don't you're not happy. That is normal.

“We are all frustrated. Of course he (Sanchez) is fine.”
