Manchester City transfer news: Aleksandar Kolarov is set to leave the Etihad after not being offered new contract

MANCHESTER City star Aleksandar Kolarov has not been offered a new deal by boss Pep Guardiola – and is set to leave.
The 31-year-old Serbian defender is out-of-contract this summer and is free to talk to foreign clubs.
He earns £90,000-a-week at the Etihad, but has been in poor form in recent months which has alarmed City bosses.

And Guardiola is weighing up a decision on whether to let him leave, as he looks to overhaul his squad.
A City source said: “Any talks of a new deal have been put on the backburner and no indication with it is forthcoming.
“He is out-of-contract this coming summer, and other clubs have shown an interest in him already.
“Aleksandar wants to stay but his dodgy form in recent weeks has Pep waiting on a decision.”

Kolarov has already had suitors abroad over his future – with Turkish giants Galatasaray showing an interest.
He joined Manchester City in 2010 from Lazio for £16m and has made 155 appearances over six seasons.
Guardiola has been eyeing up moves for his replacement since the summer, as he plans for City’s future.
He has looked at bringing in Bayern Munich star David Alaba or his left-back partner Juan Bernat.
