Celtic transfer news: Kouassi Eboue holds talks with Celtic chiefs at Parkhead as he closes in on £2.8million move from FC Krasnodar
The 19-year-old is expected to become Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers' first signing of the January transfer window

KOUASSI EBOUE has edged closer to sealing his £2.8million move to Celtic after holding talks at Parkhead.
The Krasnodar midfielder of the January transfer window.
Eboue, 19, is expected to undergo a medical at Ross Hall this afternoon and will be required to get a work permit before his move can be rubber-stamped.
But the Scottish champions are confident there will be nothing to stop the deal going through.
The highly-rated African midfielder is expected to put pen to paper on a four-year contract and could even be signed in time to travel to the club's winter training camp in Dubai this weekend.
It is understood Rodgers is working on another big-money deal in the hope of adding to his squad further in the coming weeks.
With Eboue seen as a defensive anchorman, the boss also wants to sign an attacking midfielder.
As we first revealed Portland Timbers’ USA star Darlington Nagbe was high on Celtic’s wanted list.
But that deal collapsed with Celtic now working on another player they believe will add quality to their squad.
Getting a deal done for Eboue, though, is a major step forward for Rodgers who has been trailing the youngster for months.
His scouting network alerted him to the possibility of luring one of African football’s top prospects to Scotland.
The teenager has only made 19 appearances for Krasnodar in his two seasons with the Russians.
But he earned rave reviews for his performances and has made a name for himself as an emerging talent.
Rodgers now believes Eboue can be developed at Celtic and become a major asset for the club.
It is a major financial outlay from the Celtic board but they fully support Rodgers knowing he has an eye for talent.
Moussa Dembele was plucked from Fulham for just £500,000 and now has a transfer market value of at least £25million.
Eboue’s agents are aware that a move to the Scottish Premiership could be a stepping stone to the English top flight.
And the youngster is now expected to sign a deal which would tie him to Celtic until January 2021.
